Director of Operations and Human Resources - Central Office (Rochester Catholic Schools, MN) - Fulltime/Benefit Eligible

Position Overview: The Director of Operations and Human Resources

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (*):

  • Work closely with the President, Central Office Staff, Principals to ensure their operational and human resources requirements are implemented
  • Managerial responsibilities in alignment with the organizational chart, which includes, but is not limited to, vendor management, process management, policy development and implementation, and the management of people
  • Leadership of various RCS activities and encourages teamwork
  • Work closely with the Parish Staff
  • Collaborate with Principals and Parish Administrators for the facility management of the school campuses
  • Responsible for payment collection
  • Present, on time and ready for work at all times that the position requires
  • Foster a productive environment, where there is harmony, good morale, and cooperative teamwork; evaluate and take corrective action as appropriate
  • Facilitate effective communication between employees, parents and other constituents
  • Perform the job in a manner consistent with moral, ethical, legal, and financial standards of civil and canon law, and Catholic Church teaching
  • Maintain professional standards of confidentiality
  • Other responsibilities identified as needed by the employee and approved and/or assigned by the President

 2) ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (*):

  • Oversee Rochester Catholic Schools operations.
  • In collaboration with the President and Principals , manage all human resources issues concerning the Rochester Catholic Schools personnel. This includes overseeing the recruitment and hiring process, as well as other HR related matters
  • In collaboration with the Diocese of Winona-Rocester, facilitate the process of benefits administration
  • Facilitate and insure compliance with all VIRTUS and safe environment standard for Rochester Catholic Schools
  • Facilitate payment and collections for Rochester Catholic Schools.
  • Support the data collection process and reporting for Rochester Catholic Schools
  • Prepare materials and communicate with the Board of Trustees
  • Collaborate in the process of the development of the annual budget
  • Work with the Business Manager, Lighthouse Strategic Solutions and President to ensure that financial activities adhere to best practices
  • Collaborate with the Director of Admissions to administer Rochester Catholic School’s Financial Aid program
  • In consultation with the President and Principals, manage all legal and business issues for the school system
  • Coordinate functions and communications with the Diocese of Winona-Rochester staff when necessary
