Prevent Taxpayer Funded Abortion: A Letter from Bishop Quinn

Dear Priests, Deacons, Consecrated Religious and Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am asking our Catholic Community in the Diocese of Winona-Rochester to support the efforts to retain the Hyde Amendment, which prevents the use of taxpayer funds for abortion.

Efforts are underway in Congress to pass legislation that would exclude the Hyde Amendment and fund abortion by the federal government. Abortion is a direct attack on human life.
